Flooring to keep patients safe
One of the more challenging environments for flooring, GP Surgeries often require a balance of many features:
- The flooring needs to be hardwearing and tough, able to withstand moderate to heavy footfall over many years
- Due to the risk of slips and spills, the floor needs to be slip-resistant and provide good traction even when wet
- Following on from this, the floors also need to be easy to clean and maintain, to keep them clean and looking great
We work with a range of brands, such as Polyflor, that provide excellent flooring that meets and exceeds all of the requirements most GP Surgeries could ask for.
Our wide range of flooring solutions includes specialist safety flooring to help look after your patients from the ground up.

Waiting Rooms
One of the most heavily used and important rooms in the surgery, the waiting room sees every patient. The mixture of families, adults, wheelchairs, seats and nervous pacing result in a heavy toll on the floor.
The hardwearing commercial vinyl flooring we work with uses harder and thicker outer layers to cope with this increased footfall. In addition, we also work with acoustic performance flooring that reduces the noise of impacts from footfall, to create a more tranquil environment and reduce stress from noise.
The waiting room is also the area where the patients spend the most time, so where possible we would recommend selecting a floor design that helps create a more peaceful ambience.
Non-Slip Safety Flooring
Surgeries often have many rooms that require a higher standard of anti-slip or slip-resistant flooring, such as toilets, wet rooms and the consultation rooms. We can work with you to ensure that the floors in each environment meet the standards required for a safe and clean surgery.
