New Season, New Kit
A new season brings about change, in personnel but also the team kit. Warwickshire CCC have launched their new Championship shirt off the back of their title winning campaign last year. The shirt has incorporated a yellow and navy trim to make sure all three of the traditional colours are used. The feature of 8 stars on the sleeve has been added to showcase the 8 County Championship titles the club have achieved.
On top of the County Championship shirt, the Royal London Cup kit has been released, with the 50 over competition due to take place in August. The design of the shirt has been inspired by the artwork at Edgbaston Stadium, which features the Warwickshire County outline.
Our Contribution
FLR are proud sponsors of both of these shirts, being represented on the sleeve and collar respectively. By aligning ourselves with Warwickshire CCC, we’re partnering with a club who have sustainability at the centre of their thinking. Their aim is to become the most sustainable cricket team in the country, highlighted by the fact both shirts are made out of recycled polyester.
Sustainability In The Threads
Currently at this time, nearly half the world’s clothing is made out of polyester, and it’s predicted that the amount will double by 2030. The recycling of polyester means that less will end up in landfill and the oceans of which there is a major issue.
With the season well and truly underway, we hope that our partnership with Warwickshire CCC can help us to achieve our own goal of becoming a company with sustainability at its core.
